# Child safety standards

SafeMeet is an anonymous one-to-one chat, published by Devino Solutions. This page is our published standard against child sexual abuse and exploitation, and it describes only what the service does today.

## What we prohibit

SafeMeet prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation without exception. There is no context, no consent, and no framing that makes any of the following acceptable on this service:

- Child sexual abuse material, in text or in an image, in any form and for any stated reason.
- Sexualising a minor, including roleplay, solicitation, and requests for sexual images.
- Grooming: building trust with a minor toward sexual contact, on this service or off it.
- Sextortion, or any threat made with an intimate image.
- Pressuring anyone to move a conversation off SafeMeet, where none of these protections follow.
- Advertising, trading, or linking to abuse material anywhere.

These prohibitions apply to everyone using SafeMeet, in every conversation, and they apply to the disclosed AI companion the service offers as well as to people.

## How to report it, inside the app

Once a chat with a person has ended, you can report it from your inbox. The report form's reasons are:

- Harassment or bullying
- Hate speech
- Sexual content
- Spam or scam
- Someone seems underage
- Self-harm
- Something else

Submitting a report sends the conversation for automated review, and a reported conversation can never be continued. Reports naming an apparent minor are weighted more heavily than any other kind: fewer independent reporters are needed before the reported account is restricted.

While a chat with a person is live, two controls sit in its header. Panic ends the conversation in one tap and files a report on your behalf, and it never counts against the person who used it. Block prevents that account from being paired with you again. Neither one requires you to explain yourself first.

If you would rather not use the in-app form, or you are reporting something you saw as a parent or guardian, write to [hello@safemeet.now](mailto:hello@safemeet.now) instead. It is the same address as the child safety point of contact below.

## How child sexual abuse material is addressed

SafeMeet screens messages before delivery rather than after. Text is checked against a safety policy that includes an exploitation category covering grooming, coercion, and sexual solicitation, and images are checked before delivery too — an image that appears to depict a minor in a sexual context is stopped there and never reaches the other person.

When screening is unavailable, delivery is refused rather than allowed through. The consequence of an outage is that a message does not arrive, never that an unchecked one does.

Content identified as child sexual abuse material is not delivered. Account restriction is driven by reports from other users through a single automated enforcement path; screening withholds the message but does not by itself restrict the account. A restricted account cannot carry on the conversation it was in — that conversation is closed out from under it. Panic ends a live conversation immediately and on its own. We comply with lawful requests for information from the authorities responsible for these offences.

## How the service is built to reduce the risk

Some of the protection is structural rather than reactive, and it is the part we would point at first:

- **Age band separation.** SafeMeet asks for an age. Where both people have declared one, someone under 18 is never paired with someone 18 or over. The bands are not a preference and cannot be switched off. Someone who gives no age is treated as unknown and may be paired with either band.
- **Minimum age 13.** SafeMeet is for people 13 and over. If you are under 18 we strongly recommend a parent or guardian knows you are here.
- **No profiles, no public feed.** There are no usernames, no profile pages, no follower lists, no galleries, and no way to search for a particular person. An adult cannot browse for a child here, because there is nothing to browse.
- **No persistent contact by default.** A conversation stays over unless both people separately choose to continue it, and one ended by a report or panic can never be reopened. There is no friends list that quietly keeps a stranger attached to a child after the conversation ends.
- **Pressure to leave the platform is treated as a safety signal.** The check scores a request for a phone number or a social handle against its personal-data category, because moving a conversation elsewhere is how every protection on this page stops applying. In our evals a phone number or home address shared in a chat is flagged; a flagged text is delivered with a safety notice to its sender, and one the check scores high enough to block is withheld.

## Compliance with child safety laws

Devino Solutions operates SafeMeet in compliance with the child safety laws that apply to it, and cooperates with lawful requests from the authorities responsible for enforcing them. Where a law and our own standard differ, we apply whichever is stricter.

Our wider commitments are set out in the [terms of service](https://safemeet.now/terms) and the [privacy policy](https://safemeet.now/privacy); the mechanics of screening are described on the [safety page](https://safemeet.now/safety) and in [how AI moderation works](https://safemeet.now/guides/how-ai-moderation-works).

## Child safety point of contact

The designated child safety point of contact for SafeMeet is the Devino Solutions safety team, reachable at [hello@safemeet.now](mailto:hello@safemeet.now). That address is monitored for reports about a child's safety, for questions from platforms and regulators about these standards, and for requests from parents and guardians.

## What this page does not claim

Automated screening is not perfect, and saying otherwise would undermine everything above it. Coded language, slow manipulation built over many messages, and harm that only makes sense in context are the cases it handles worst. That is exactly why the report and panic controls exist and why we treat reports naming an apparent minor as the highest-priority signal we receive.

We also do not claim capabilities we have not built. This page describes screening before delivery, removal, and account restriction. It does not describe matching against external abuse-image databases, and it should not be read as describing one.
