## What SafeMeet is

- SafeMeet is a moderated anonymous text chat service. You connect with one stranger at a time. Every message is checked before delivery: an instant filter first, then AI moderation for anything the filter lets through.
- We are not a dating app, a social network, or a marketplace. We are a quiet text room with a stranger and a moderator.

## Who can use SafeMeet

- SafeMeet is open to anyone aged 13 or older. By starting a session, you confirm you meet this age requirement.
- If you are under 18, we strongly recommend using SafeMeet with the knowledge and guidance of a parent or guardian.
- Accounts from regions where we are prohibited from operating are not permitted.

## What you agree not to do

- Attempt to extract personal information from other users.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
- Use SafeMeet to solicit minors in any way.
- Attempt to evade moderation, fingerprinting, or sanctions.
- Use automated tools to generate or send messages.
- Impersonate SafeMeet, its staff, or public figures.

## Moderation and sanctions

- Every message is checked before delivery. We block content that violates our rules. A block from our full AI review can also record a warning on the sender's account, though not every one does: none is recorded when our text model is not confident enough to count it against the sender, when our own systems failed, or for a message about the sender's own crisis. A message stopped by our instant filter, which checks each message as it is sent, never records one. Enough reports from different people against the same user, each within 24 hours of the one before it, trigger an automatic, time-bound ban.
- Sanctions follow a soft device fingerprint, not just cookies. Clearing your browser does not clear your record.
- All moderation decisions can be appealed by emailing hello@safemeet.now.

## Content and data

- Messages are retained for moderation audit and are deleted 30 days after a conversation ends. Reopening a conversation restarts that clock; there is no other exception.
- We do not sell messages, license message data, or use your conversations to train external AI models.
- Full data handling details are in our Privacy Policy.

## Pricing

- SafeMeet is free today. Pricing may change as the service grows; safety features will never be paywalled, and we will give 30 days notice before any pricing change.

## Liability

- SafeMeet is provided as-is. We make no guarantees that every harmful message will be blocked — we publish our limits honestly at /safety.
- We are not liable for user-generated content, third-party services, or events outside our reasonable control.
- By using SafeMeet, you accept that moderation is a floor, not a ceiling.

## Changes to these terms

- We will post material changes on this page with a revised date. Continued use after 30 days constitutes acceptance.
- We don't do silent updates. If it matters, we tell you.
